I think I’ve figured out what my cat didn’t like as far as the new door goes.
She doesn’t like strangers as she was feral as a kitten. We are the only people she likes and she will run and hide anytime someone comes to the door.
I think what it is that bothers her is the small window at the top. As the light changes, such as the sun going behind a cloud or reflections from a car going by, she thinks the door is opening but she’s not hearing anything so it confuses her.
We noticed that she relaxed once it got dark outside until the people across the street turned their car lights on as they were backed into their driveway.
She perked up at this and stared at the door until the car left.
I think we’re going to put a curtain over it for now.
Weird, right?
