Here in the USA we have sort of a short week.
Yes, there are still seven days in the week, but quite a few of us get the 4th of July off.
The rest of the world has a fourth of July too, they just don’t use it to drink beer, cook food over an open fire, and play with miniature explosives with the chance of blowing a couple of fingers off.
FYI, that last activity we leave to the pros. My cousin Sammy, AKA “Three Fingers,” shoots off fireworks for pay.
If you ever meet him, just remember to look him right in the eyes and speak loudly.
Oh, and don’t look at his hands. He’s a bit touchy on that subject, and he knows where to buy explosives!
