Our new door was installed today.
I think it freaked out our cat.
We put both cats into a back room while the installer swapped it out.
Now, the old one was painted white and didn’t have any glass in it.
The new one is brown (until we paint it) and has a small window at the top.
One cat checked it out for all of about five seconds then lost interest. The other cat had a totally different reaction.
She sat on the floor just staring at it without blinking for ten minutes, then she got a drink of water from her bowl, then went back to staring at the new door.
I don’t know why, but it was funny in a way.
She eventually climbed into my lap, started it for a couple more minutes, then laid down her head and went to sleep.
I wonder what it’s going to do to her when we paint it?
