BBQ Means Something Different In North Carolina

In most other states BBQ, or barbecue is something you do outside on a grill.
Here in North Carolina it’s both a food and a way of life.
In fact, there are several ways of making it, and people here are as passionate about their favorite style of barbecue as they are about their politics only not as violent.
If you’ve never been to North Carolina and you do make it here, I recommend you go to Lexington Barbeque and have theirs. It’s very, very good.
I have to admit I do eat at a place called Kepley’s more often, but that’s because it’s a five minute drive from my house and it takes a lot longer to get to Lexington.
