Scam Phone Calls
Before we launch into today’s word search puzzle, I just wanted to say that I got yet another scam phone call just as I was about to write about today’s word search puzzle.
Tonight’s call was from “Mike” with the “firefighter’s association.” (He’s not.) If Mike calls you, hang up. It’s a scam to get your personal information and credit card info.
Despite being on the “do not call” list these crooks continue to call and badger you to get a “donation.”
I’ve asked multiple times to be removed from their list, and hung up on them, and one time I kept one on the phone for half an hour before finally telling him I would waste as much of their time as I could if they kept calling me because if they were on the phone with me, the couldn’t be calling someone else.
They still keep calling. You think they would have given up by now.
Sigh…
