My wife found this show all about the stupid ways people have managed to kill themselves, by accident, of course.
When I came home from work today they had a section on these two idiots that decided to go lick a toad, thinking it would get them high.
(Some toads secrete a hallucinogenic liquid as part of a defense mechanism, and people have been using them as a drug for hundreds of years.)
The thing is, these two Darwin Award candidates picked one that was deadly poisonous. Yup, you guessed it. They took themselves right out of the gene pool.
I guess you can’t have your toad and lick it too…
Anyway, Mary sent me a list a few weeks back of different kinds of frogs and toads, so this seemed like a perfect time to use it.
