So the sticks you carry around to swat a little white ball with are called “golf clubs” and the game you play with them is called “golf” yet you don’t play it at a “golf club,” you play it at a “country club.”
I’m trying to figure out how they got “country club” as the place to play golf?
So why is it you have to get a membership to check out books at a “library” but they don’t call it a “book club?”
