There is a cat that lives at the top of the hill, and every once in a while I see it chasing and playing with a chipmunk. It’s been going on for a couple of weeks.
I don’t think he hurts it, and the one time I stopped to watch, once the chipmunk got into the bushes the cat lost interest and walked away. Most cats would have prowled around the bushes looking for it for a while.
Strange friends, I think.
