Thursday’s Free Daily Word Search Puzzle – Umlaut

I always thought an Umlaut was the letter “u” with dots over it or something, or maybe that thing that hangs down in the back of your throat.
Turns out there is a deeper meaning according to Wikipedia. It says an Umlaut is a sound change where a vowel was modified to conform more closely to the vowel in the next syllable.
Who knew?
Perhaps it does have something to do with that hanging down thingie in the back of your throat after all.
