There was some violence in Bob’s wife’s garden today. If you played today’s jigsaw puzzle, you already know he accidentally mowed his wife’s violets and she whacked him with a fry pan.
As Paul Harvey used to say, this is the rest of the story.
Bob didn’t stay down long after his wife hit him. He’s a bit hard headed.
Bob, who really doesn’t like eating vegetables, climbed back on his mower and pointed it at his wife’s garden. I just knew he was going to turn the whole thing into mulch.
Bob’s wife is a whole lot smarter than he is. While he was down she attached a tow cable to the back of his mower, and as soon as he started towards the garden, she threw his 4×4 into gear and started dragging Bob and the mower backwards down the street.
After watching her circle the block a couple of times at eighty eight miles per hour dragging Bob backwards on the mower and him screaming at the top of his lungs for her to please, please stop and let him off, and he’ll never touch her flowers and garden again, she headed down the highway and didn’t come back for four hours.
The top speed on Bob’s mower is about five miles per hour. At that rate, I expect to see him again in about three weeks, long enough for her to start growing some more flowers.
